What we checked, and what we found

We did not take BK8’s licensing claim at face value. We searched the Anjouan Gaming Authority public register on 31 August 2026 and the licence is real: ALSI-202504032-FI2, valid, held by Mettlemind Tech Ltd, issued 29 April 2025 and running to 28 April 2027. That already puts BK8 ahead of operators whose licence numbers return nothing at all.

The complication is which websites that licence covers. The register lists five domains: bk8.co, bk8.com, bk8.io, bk8premier.com and bk8sports.com. Malaysian visitors are not sent to any of them. They are routed to bk8masd.com, and when we inspected that page’s full source we found no mention of Anjouan and no licence number anywhere on it.

The claim that deserves a closer look

The Malaysia-facing page describes the operator as “authorized and licensed to operate in multiple countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, India, Korea”. The only licence we could verify is issued by Anjouan, a small offshore jurisdiction. An Anjouan licence permits the holder to run an online gaming business under Anjouan law; it is not an authorisation granted by Malaysia or by any of the other countries named. Read that sentence as marketing, not as regulatory standing in your own country.

The bonus: big number, missing terms

The 288% welcome bonus up to MYR 2,880 is real and prominently advertised, alongside 113%, 100% and 50% offers. What we could not find is the part that actually determines whether the bonus is worth anything: no wagering multiple, no turnover figure, no maximum withdrawal cap, and no link to full terms anywhere on the promotions page. The page explains in general terms what wagering requirements and withdrawal caps are, without ever stating BK8’s own numbers.

This matters more than the headline percentage. A 288% bonus with a 30x turnover requirement and a low withdrawal cap can be worth less than a 50% bonus on fair terms. Until those figures are published, a player cannot calculate what the offer is worth before depositing. Ask support for the wagering multiple and the maximum withdrawal in writing before you claim anything.

Responsible gambling provision

To be fair to the operator, a responsible gaming page does exist and it covers age restriction and self-exclusion, which is more than some competitors in this market publish. What we did not find were deposit limits, cooling-off periods, reality checks, or a named external support organisation players could turn to independently.

Games and payments

The product range is genuinely wide: sports, e-sports, live casino, slots, fishing, 4D and lottery, and fast games in one account. Payment support visible on the Malaysian site includes DuitNow, bank transfer and GrabPay, with USDT for players who prefer crypto rails. We did not detect FPX or Touch n Go on the public pages, though availability can differ after login.

How to protect yourself here

Check which domain you have landed on and compare it against the register entry yourself. Get the bonus wagering multiple and withdrawal cap from support in writing before claiming. Test with a minimum deposit and a small withdrawal before committing real money. Screenshot the terms on the day you claim them, because published terms change without notice.
